How to Farm Golden Hands Encounters

Atlus have finally released Persona 4 Golden on PC. The Japanese role-playing game that revolves around a chain of serial murders in the rural town of Inaba. To progress through the various dungeons in Persona 4 Golden you will need to fight regular shadwos. Every so often you will also encounter a Golden Hand, these are a rare enemy which if they spot you will run away. They are the Metal Slimes of Persona, they appear in pretty much every dungeon but the final one. This is a rare and random enemy that literally look like a golden hand and if you do see one they are worth hunting down as they will reward you plenty of EXP and money if you beat them.

Once you have managed to track down a Golden Hand you can begin a combat encounter with them like any other shadow by hitting them with your weapon. Golden Hands can be tough to beat beacause unlike other enemies in Persona 4 Golden they do not have any weaknesses and are immune to instant kill attacks. The best way to defeat Golden Hands is to increase your critical rate at the start of battle and hit them with physical attacks. If you manage to land a critical hit it will allow you to gain an extra turn which will enable you to deal damage by unleashing an all-out attack to take them down.

Focus on hunting down Golden Hand enemies one at a time, especially if you are under-leveled as killing one of these enemies will reward you with a decent amount of EXP. There is at least one Golden Hand enemy encounter on each level of a dungeon, the only exception being the last dungeon where none appear. If you are unable to find a Golden Hand on a level you just need to climb up the stairs to the next level and then return so you force them to respawn again. There is no guarantee that the Golden Hand will respawn again but the chances are high and if it does you may have an easier time finding it.
