You begin the game with a single ship, the Finch I. Sell it and buy the Sparrow I instead. The maintenance cost of the Finch is higher than even some of the largest ship hulls in the game while having the smallest cargo capacity. The Sparrow will both save money in maintenance and increase earning potential simultaneously. .
