When I try and extend my pool on the sims 2 it says that it can't extend pool. How can I make differnt shaped pools? Xx

There is a technique to extend the pool. It's a little complicated, and you must do it in this exact order.
1. Ctrl+Click and drag the shape of your intended extension
2. Release the Ctrl key ONLY
3. Release the mouse button but DO NO MOVE YOUR MOUSE
4. Click once
The pool extension should then appear.
