Question for The Sims 2

Where is the HOTEL REACTOR?
I am stuck on where the HOTEL REACTOR is and I need it to use the metal detector on a mission.
PLEASE HELP....

Simple go 2 the door THE SINGLE DOOR not the double door then go down the stairs and go straight until you hit another door go through it and down the stairs
And "interact" with the big tower and hit recharge

When I go up to the furnace, the "charge detector" button doesn't pop up. It's not there.

The hotel reactor is the thing where you put the nuclear rods at the beginning of the game, it is down in the basement

The Hotel Reactor is just the place where you put those rod things for the furnace.

yeah except during the game it has to be recharged.

My metal detector won't charge on that reactor. I don't understand why. Do you have to do anything special
