Monster Hunter Now is an augmented reality RPG available on mobile devices. Embark on adventures where you explore the real-world in search of monsters to battle and resources to collect. We have a collection of cheats and tips that will help you progress in the game which is available on Anroid and iOS mobile devices.

Monster Hunter Now Cheats and Tips

For anyone who's ever dreamed of hunting monsters in the real world, 'Monster Hunter Now' brings that fantasy to life. You take the role of a hunter and venture forth and track down and hunt some of the most formidable monsters from the Monster Hunter universe as they appear in our world. Forge powerful weapons and team up with fellow Hunters to track down larger-than-life monsters and take them head-on.

Cheats and Tips

Below is a collection of cheats and tips that will help you in the game.

Pick and Choose Armor Based on Perks

There are currently 15 different armor sets available in Monster Hunter Now which you can unlock and equip your character with. Each piece of armor regardless of the armor set it belongs to has its own set of perks and skills that you can obtain from upgrading it to certain tiers. Rather than completing an armor set and wearing a matching outfit, it is more beneficial to pick armor pieces based on skills that match your playstyle.

Take a look at our Best Monster Hunter Now Armors guide to find out everything you need to know about the gear you can equip your character with.

Progress Through the Story to Unlock Monsters

To begin with, the monsters you will mainly encounter in Monster Hunter Now are Great Jagras and Kulu-Ya-Ku. As you progress in the game continually taking down these beasts and collecting materials to complete your quests a larger variety of enemies will begin to appear. Our Massive Guide to All Monsters will give you details on the 14 creatures that are currently in the game. The guide also gives you the order in which each species unlocks as you progress through the story.

Take Advantage of Elements in Combat

Having an elemental advantage when you encounter larger monsters at higher difficulties in Monster Hunter Now can make a significant difference in the outcome of the fight. Make sure that once you have settled on your weapon of choice you have a variety of elements at the ready, and upgrade them as much as your armor sets. If you do this you will find making leaps in difficulty much less daunting.

Our Best Weapons and How to Upgrade Them guide will tell you everything you need to know about the weapons you can use to conquer the monsters and also how to upgrade them to make them even more effective.

Gather Materials when You're Not Hunting Monsters

Keep in mind that in Monster Hunter Now you will need to collect a lot of materials to complete quests. So even if you are not going to hunt monsters you should occasionally open the app so your Palico can collect materials around you. It will only take several seconds for your Felyne friend to gather everything up and once it's finished you can close the app.

Do Both your Story and Special Quests

It is important that you progress in the story and also do the special quests. Game progression will unlock new weapons and armor while the special quests are daily objectives you can complete for lots of HRP (experience) and crafting materials. Special quests are easy tasks to complete which you should get done by simply playing the game. Remember to claim your rewards afterward.

    Don't Ignore Small Monsters

Littered on the map are small beasts that can be easily taken down with a few hits of your weapon. Don't ignore these creatures in favor of larger monsters with more valuable crafting parts as the small monsters have multiple benefits. They have unique drops required for various armor and weapon upgrades and they contribute to building your Special Skill gauge. This gauge persists between encounters so it can be used to activate a powerful attack right at the start of a challenging large monster fight which can significantly weaken the beast.

You can find out all about the small beasts in Monster Hunter Now and their unique drops by taking a look at our Massive Guide to All Monsters.

    Use Paintballs Wisely

Paintballs in Monster Hunter Now is basically a feature you can use that enables monsters to be 'tagged' to fight later at your own convenience. There are two ways this can be done, either manually with pink Paintballs, or automatically in the background via your Palico with a small pool of blue Paintballs you are gifted daily.

Keep in mind that you only have one chance to fight the monster that you tagged so you need to make sure you are ready. This means at least having full health and a full Special Skill gauge. Paintballs are particularly useful if you encounter a powerful monster and you need more time to prepare.

    Experiment with Different Weapons

It is recommended that you take the time to experiment with different weapon types to find one that suits your playstyle. Each weapon in Monster Hunter Now has unique mechanics and combos. Don't be afraid to switch between weapons as you progress. Once you've chosen a weapon, spend time in the training area to practice combos and learn how to use it effectively. It is crucial that you understand your weapon's moves.

    Know the Monsters Weakness

It is essential that you understand the weaknesses of the monsters you are hunting. Each beast has specific vulnerabilities to certain weapon types and elements. Equip yourself with the right gear and weapons to exploit these weaknesses, making your hunts more efficient.

    Resource Management

Efficient resource management is vital in Monster Hunter Now. You need to make sure you keep track of your inventory, gather resources strategically, and craft necessary items for your hunts. Doing this will ensure you are well-prepared for any situation, from healing to enhancing your weapons and armor.

    Research Monsters

Spend time researching the various beasts you encounter in order to gain valuable insights into your prey. Learning about a monster's behavior, attack patterns, and habitats can give you a significant advantage during hunts. The more you know about your targets, the better equipped you'll be to tackle them.

How to Find Monsters From Home with a GPS Joystick

How to Find Monsters From Home with a GPS Joystick in Monster Hunter Now

Monster Hunter Now is similar to Pokemon Go, but instead of walking around the real world looking for Pokemon, you search for monsters. Unfortunately, you can only find a limited number of these beasts in one location, and in order to find more you need to explore another location. This How to Find Monsters From Home with a GPS Joystick will tell you how to encounter beasts without leaving your home.

GPS Joystick Hack

When Monster Hunter Now was initially released players could use a Fake GPS but since the October 2nd, 2023 update this hack is no longer working. If you try and cheat in this way now you will get the 'Error 6-4' message.

Developers can only detect the GPS Joystick hack if a player has used the same location plenty of times. They have the capability to detect locations that have been modified multiple times within a short period and with a distance that's impossible to travel that quickly.

This means if a player frequently changes locations using the GPS Joystick Monster Hunter Now hack they will be unable to join hunts and find the monsters they previously caught from different locations.

There is though a way you can avoid getting detected and banned, the solution to the problem is to use the speed control and cooldown timer functions of the Monster Hunter Now hack Joystick.

There are several apps you can choose that help to spoof your location without getting detected. The one we recommend is a free app you can download called UltFone Location Changer.

To install UltFone Location Changer on your PC do the following:

  • Step 1:

Download and open UltFone Location Changer on your computer. Select the fourth icon, labeled 'Joystick Movement', from the left sidebar.

  • Step 2:

Connect your device to your computer with a wireless cable and run it.

  • Step 3:

Adjust the speed to your preference and then drag the ball to the circle before releasing it. This will allow you to change direction in a full 360 degrees while in motion.

Using the UltFone Location Changer app with a GPS Joystick will enable you to change your location, you will be able to teleport to remote locations, hunt more monsters, and get your hands on powerful weapons to help you level up faster. Providing you take the following precautions you should be safe from detection:

  • Stay within the speed limit. Try not to exceed 3m/s.
  • Modify your location no more than 100 meters each time. Anything more than that may result in a connection error.
  • Do not modify location frequently or multiple times in a short time.
