How HP Regen Works in Monster Hunter Now

Monster Hunter Now is an augmented reality RPG available on mobile devices. Embark on adventures where you explore the real-world in search of monsters to battle and resources to collect. One of the things in the game that players find confusing is HP Regen. This How HP Regen Works in Monster Hunter Now will explain the mechanics of this feature.

What is HP Regeneration?

Your HP in Monster Hunter Now passively regens back to full health whenever your character has taken damage. This process though is slow and only works outside of combat. You will passively regain HP until you are at full health. The time it takes to regen is at a rate of 1 HP per 30 seconds. This means it will take 1 hour to get back to full health if you are down to zero. Also, you don't need to have the game open either which is a bonus, as it can be lengthy to wait out the healing if your health is very low.

How to Use HP Regeneration Effectively

The most effective way to use HP Regen is to only use your First-Aid Med if you are about to die in combat. If you are using gear with the Fortify skill it is better if you save it for when your character has died. It is pointless using First Aid Meds between battles or if you have no plans to immediately engage in another battle. It's best to save it as a reviver or if you're close to death and want to maintain Last Stand or Heroics.

    How to Get HP Pots

In Monster Hunter Now you will get 5 HP Pots for free per daily login. Keep in mind you will only be able to store a total of 10 free HP Pots. This effectively means that if you claim the 5 free HP Pots with an already full inventory of them, the 5 you just claimed will go to waste. You can get around this by not claiming the 5 free HP Pots, essentially having 15 in total, you just claim the remaining 5 when you have the inventory slots available.

    Dodge Attacks

One way in which you can save yourself having to use an HP Pot or wait the time required to heal is by mastering the Perfect Dodge maneuver in Monster Hunter Now. Learning when to roll out of the way of oncoming attacks can save you from taking damage in the first place.
