How do you place stairs in your home in sims free play?

Go to build mode and pick out any stairs you like. Then, place in am empty area. BTW, it didn't work for me

That doesn't really help me. I tried to get stairs and I found stairs in the home store, but when I put them in a house with 2 stories in the middle of an empty room and… well it just didn't work

Build a room upstairs and then when placing the stairs downstairs, make sure that you have enough room.

Have one of you Sims try to go upstairs and then you can put the stairs in an empty room.

Doing that dosent work because I still can't get the stairs into the room. I had the same problem over and over again. What do I do?

I was having trouble too. Make sure you're placing the stairs whenyou're on the bottom floor.
