How do you build a staircase on sims freeplay I bought the upper level..

I have the same problem, when I purchase a staircase or any other object which allows the Sims to go between floors the green tick doesn't come up making it unpossible to place the object ..

To add stairs you have to have the rooms upstairs for the staircase to lead to from the bottom floor

I know the answer to this:

1. Go on Build Mode
2. Press the House button
3. Click the Floor Construction Icon.
4. You need to be able to have enough construct-O-coins to do this.
5. If you do, then you have to get in order to have an additional floor.
6. Now you should be able to place the staircase!

I figured it out.
You have to build rooms upstairs first. With walls.
Then you can build the stairs.
You need to place the stairs downstairs and then it works.

Ok I know what your doing wrong so you go to The Town Map go to the building place and start building and then when it's done send a sim to work and when their home have a woohoo and have all of your adults woohooing and when their done go clubbing and have a bartender and every sim needs to Dance and when that's over buy all the buildings on the Town Map and when thats done it will let you place the staircase.

You must complete the second floor first I mean have all the rooms and after that you can put the stairs that have space for Sims to walk in both in 1st and 2nd level.

You just need to build a doorway on the second floor where you are going to place the stairs

I built rooms up stair but I couldn't place a stair even though I have construct-o-coins

I was having this same problem!! You have to make sure there is a room for the stairs to lead to. It also can't block a door or window. Btw... I like cheese.

I had the same problem ... Just buy another stair ans it will work ..

You need to go on the second floor, then build three rooms, go on the first floor again then place the staircase and the green tick will come up.

Which level do you have to be in? I'm in level 13 soon 14. (I realt want to floors.

Fist you have to eat then you get a sim and make them talk by talking it will exsper them then you go to the map and on the map go to the conustrucion place then you can by stairs there and you can prophet buy it from the pack at the home store

You just need to build walls on the upper floor then you can build your stairs ect. Hope this helps you
