The flame sign means that after you finish the meal, there will be an icon above it which will pick if it will catch on fire or not. To put out the fire, buy a fire extinguisher from the kitchen section, buy one of the three extinguishers, and click on the burning stove. It will have a certain amount of time, depending on which extinguisher you bought.

The stove catches on fire and you need an extinguisher to put it out. Almost made it without an extinguisher but my lack of money stopped me and realized-hey! Why not have a fire extinguisher if there is a flame symbol on something!

After my Sims eat or swim or Dance there is a flam symbol over their heads where nothing to mean fire or anything on fire I am lost can some please explain it to me
