The green icon on your Seeds usually indicates that they are"genetically modified". This comes with the new Halloween update. If planting theses particular seeds there is an off chance one wool turn into a sim eating plant. No alarm! Because with the purchase of a gardening looking table in garden you can get rid of it. Although the spray can be purchased on Town Map. It's not too bad as it is annoying. Also there's is a stove version of this in wich your stove may catch on fire. In wiich case there's a fire extinguisher. Hope this helps.

The green triangle means that the plant is genetically modified. Planting these will come at your Sims risk.
