How do you send a sims to work? Can you be expecific

Go to the sim menu (it's an icon of a person and when you click it you can see all of your Sims and their actions) here there will be a flashing briefcase. Click that and it will send your sim to work.

I have build work place for them and gave them a job but when it is time for them to go the briefcase does not flash up I can't send them to work. Can u help!! ?? PleaseGuest answered:
Basically,what you can do is make all of your Sims to sit down then shut your app by pressing the home menu then go to settings then general then firmly click date + time change them both to a random date.
1. Make your Sims sit down
2.shut your Sims app by pressing the home button
3. Go to setting
4.click general
5.click date and time
6.change the date and time to random
7. Go back on app go on briefcase walla

You just simply make them watch tv or just sit in a couch
