If I put up a pet for adoption how do I get it back?

Alas as I found out to my cost when I accidentally put a dog up for adoption I found when it's gone it's gone. Because of the problem with too many Sims the Pet when I allocated it went to the wrong house and I tried to relocate. All the faces where grey only the adoption was green. I thought this would show me the sims who could have the dog. Wrong! It was gone and all those LPs too! If you go through the how to's no where does it tell you all this but they have said they will amend....... Hope so.

Dont save the game, exit out of the game without saving then go back to playing and everything will restart. You will then get your dog back

You wont get it back until you have the LP points I had a German shepherd but I started all over again now I have a black Labrador I accidentally clicked on relocate and everything was dark the only green thing was adoption so I'm not saying that you shouldn't but if you do make sure you have up to 80 LP points to buy your Pet oh and you need a pet store too . Well if you find this advice relevant then .... My pleasure any other questions ask me! - jasmine at your service

I accidentally put mine up for adoption too but I found out I can go on my phone or computer and re-adopt it back. You probably have to do it quick enough though.

If you put your dog or animal up to adout you will need 80 LP points
