Basically, the only ring the sim will like is the most expensive one (20lp).

It is only letting me buy the most expensive ring. The enternity ring is 10 Life Points. That's the only one it lets me get. Why? I was to get a cheaper one! I can't even get the cheapest. Help! The goal is to get engaged. Can't do other Goals to get more. HELP! I'm stuck!

The cheapest wedding ring you can get is the Dinasour ring, which is 1,250 dollars, but I would not recommend that ring. Most likely the sim will reject, because it's cheap. Then there a ring that costs 3lp and there is a 50% chance they'll say yes. The second best costs 6lp and there is a 70% chance they'll say yes. Then the eternity ring the most expensive of all and that costs 10lp and there is a 100% chance of the Sims saying yes. I would recommend the 3LP ring or 6lp ring, most likely the 6lp. If you don't have enough lp for either one of these rings, you can do Goals which give you a lot of lp or money or get free lps from the store by pressing the blue free button in the upper left hand corner and you can watch videos or fill out forms or get apps to get free lp! As others have said, you must pay lifestyle points in order for a sim to say yes to getting married BUT if one of your Sims was married but then divorced, all of the rings cost Simoleons and the eternity ring costs 30,000 simoleons. This only works for sims who have been married and even if only one of the sims has already been married then you only have to pay simoleons. I figured this out because most of my sims have been divorced at least once (I like to simulate drama, okay) and the rings changed in amount but when I tried to get two sims married that had never been married before, the rings became their original prices.
