How to change the clock on sims freeplay on ipad and bare in mind I have changed it on settings

I don't think you can, since it updates to a server through you're gps. H.e. My game is always one hour ahead.

Even when I went into a different time zone and the time on my iPad automatically changed, the time in my game still stayed at the same time.

Close the game. Click home button twice. Hold the app Sims freeplay and click the button on the upperleft corner. Goto settings and change time (after dec 25 preferably). Turn off wifi or 3g. Open sims freeplay. Wait until it tells that internet connection is needed. Open settings. Turn on wifi or 3g. Open sims freeplay. Voila!
