What are Occult Scrolls

Occult Scrolls in Gunfire Reborn are objects which you are able to pick up to give useful passive effects to your character. There are 148 Occult Scrolls in total in the game, and they belong to one of five rarities - Normal, Rare, Legendary, Cursed, and Enhanced.

When you begin a run in Gunfire Reborn you will start with no Occult Scrolls. Keep in mind when you pick up Occult Scrolls that many of them come with a balancing mechanic. The Occult Scrolls themselves offer up large damage increases or additional benefits while simultaneously decreasing other stats or limiting certain thresholds. Because of this, the Occult Scrolls that offer perks without penalty are always favored, and can be game-changing if you manage to find them.

How to get Occult Scrolls

Listed below are the various ways you can acquire Occult Scrolls in Gunfire Reborn.

- Unlocking the scroll for the first time.

- Buying it from a Peddler.

- Killing an elite or boss Enemy.

- Entering a Vault and completing its objective, then choosing one from the treasure chest within.

- Buying, trading or sacrificing health at a Peculiar Chest.

- Completing a Challenge Event.

On The House

- Effect: Your first purchase at Peddler does not cost any copper'.

- Rarity: Normal

Propulsion Device

- Effect: Dash skill has 3 Charges.

- Rarity: Normal

Advanced Joggers

- Effect: -50% Dash cooldown.

- Rarity: Normal

Decay Driver

- Effect: +20% movement speed for 3s after inflicting decay effect or hurting enemies under decay effect.

- Rarity: Normal

Triple Comeback

- Effect: -50% Max HP and Max Shield/Armor, but gain 2 extra revives. This occult scroll will be destroyed after the effect ends.

- Rarity: Rare

Final Judgement

- Effect: Weapon attacks instantly kill normal enemies with less than 15% HP remaining or bosses with less than 8% HP remaining.

- Rarity: Rare

Hawkeye Sight

- Effect: +2.0x CritX; however, -50% weapon DMG when not triggering a Crit Hit. Weapons with a Scope gain 2x zoom.

- Rarity: Legendary

Penetration Bullet

- Effect: Crits deal 50% DMG directly to enemy's HP rather than Shield or Armor.

- Rarity: Legendary

Spirit Bible

- Effect: +120% Skill DMG.

- Rarity: Legendary

Flowing Time

- Effect: All remaining cooldowns -1s on hit (triggered once every 2s).

- Rarity: Legendary
