Appendix A: Obtaining Victini

If you do not have the insert that came with the game that explains the steps you need to take as an Early Adopter, simply do the following -- and if the date is between March 6th 2011, and April 10th 2011 you will obtain the Liberty Pass which is what you need to get your very own Legendary Victini!

Getting the Liberty Pass

Follow the steps below:

(01) Save your game!
(02) Restart the game
(03) At the Start Screen hit Start to get to the Game Menu
(04) IF you have previously configured the WiFi settings on your DS, skip to Step 07
(05) Configure the WiFi Connection for your DS in the DS Setup Screen.
(06) Test the connection and fiddle with it until it works.  See the manual if you have problems.
(07) Select Mystery Gift from the Menu
(08) Select Receive Gift from the Next Menu
(09) Confirm that you want to connect to the Net
(10) Select Get Via Nintendo WFC (WiFi Club)
(11) Confirm that you want to connect to the Net
(12) The game will search for your gift (connect to the server)
(13) You will be prompted to pick the gift -- if there is more than one select Liberty Pass
(14) The Pass will be downloaded.
(15) The game will reset itself when you push the Action Button.
(16) A Delivery Man is waiting at the next Poke Mart you reach - talk to him to obtain the Pass.
(17) When you reach the Liberty Pier in Castelia City, take the ship to Liberty Garden.
(18) Catch Victini!

Please be aware that you can -- and should -- obtain the Liberty Pass as soon as you can, and when you were prompted to in the Guide.  Do NOT wait to do this, as if you do not do it before April 10th you will NOT be able to do it at all!

In order to actually use the Pass to get on the ship you will need to have at least two (2) Gym Badges, and you will want enough Poke Balls so that you can actually capture it.  A few will not be enough.

In previous games you were only allowed to have up to three (3) Wonder Cards (the Liberty Pass is a Wonder Card) at any one time, which meant you had to delete them to get new cards if you already have three -- but in Black and White you can have up to twelve (12) Wonder Cards at the same time!  How cool is that?
