Viridian City next to Pallet Town and the entrance to the Pokemon league

Viridian Gym.

You have to have complete the Sevii Islands quest that Bill takes you on after beating the 7th gym for the 8th gym leader to re-open Viridian Gym.

You know the Gym in Viridian City that is locked? Well that's the last gym. Make sure you have completed the Sevii Islands and defeated Blane the 7th gym leader.

Once you get the Volcano badge the gym in Viridian City will be ulocked.
