Equipment

Equipment in Fire Emblem Echoes comes in the form of Weapons (which are categorized by Swords, Lances, and Bows), Shields, and Rings. Weapons can only be equipped to characters who can use that type of weapon - ie Swords, Lances or Bows - but Shields and Rings can be equipped to any given character. Most Weapons and Shields have a given weight associated to them, which lowers the holder's speed by a set amount equal to the weight of the Weapon, but Rings are weightless. Most pieces of equipment even come with Skills attached to them: Weapons and Shields usually have certain Combat Arts tied in, while Rings usually have Passive Skills connected to them.
