Premise

Farming Simulator 18 is a cross between a simulation and a tactical-based game, one that revolved solely around farming. A player will begin a career with their recently purchased farm, Cultivating, Sowing and Harvesting whatever crops they choose to plant. As a player plants, harvests and sell their crops, they will earn more profits that they can use to further build their land. Players will eventually be able to purchase Livestock that can be feed to create natural products for sale, buy new Equipment and Tools to help plant and harvest more crops of different diversity, and even build new buildings on the land they own.

Once a new farmer has more duties than they can handle on their own, they can create a fully functioning business by hiring assistants to help with farming of crops or delivery of products. If a farmer can continue to add more and more employees while continuing to build their farm, they will ultimately find themselves running their profitable farm instead of managing it for themselves. This is the ultimate goal within any career of Farming Simulator 18, to becoming a Farming Tycoon making profits hand-over-fist.
