When you first begin Farming Simulator 18, you will have a basic set of Tools, Equipment, seeds and Livestock to your name. As you begin your new life as a farmer with these assets, you will begin to make profits from selling your products. As you earn the fruits of your labor, a player can start investing in newer equipment, tools and types of crops and livestock. All of these products come at a certain cost - the better the products, the higher the cost - but the hope is that by purchasing them, a farmer can ultimately produce all the more products to sell for all the more profits.
Depending on the device and version a player plays Farming Simulator 18 on, there are a number of options available to them to use real world money to purchase these different types of Downloadable Content (DLC). Obviously, this is seen more in the mobile version of the game since in-app money-to-coin purchases are so easy to accommodate nowadays. However, players can still purchase a number of different content packages for both the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita (usually through a money-to-code process) to better improve their agricultural inventory.
