This feature allows you to befriend story-related NPCs and Dispatch them to time-based quests. To unlock new character bonds, you have to get Bond Memory Shards from completing story quests, events, or purchasing them from the Shop. You can also use the same shards to Star Up character bonds that you have already unlocked.

Star Up

To star up a character bond, you have to obtain the required number of the same character’s Memory Shards. As mentioned above, you can get Bond Memory Shards from completing story quests, events, or purchasing them from the Shop. Some character shards however, can only be obtained from Dispatch quests.

Increasing Favors

Bond Partners have specific Psyches. These traits are necessary to meet the requirements of certain Dispatch quests. Character bonds will have one Psyche but can develop an additional one as you increase their Favor. This is done by giving them their preferred gifts. (Gifts with the Thumbs Up icon on the upper-left). Once you fill up the gauge, the butterfly symbol (Bond Level) will light up, indicating your progress in increasing the Bond level of the character bond. This will also give you a CP boost.

Once all the Bond Level symbols have been filled up, you’ll have to perform a Breakthrough. This is completed by selecting the character’s Breakthrough Quest from the Dispatch tab. After completing that dispatch quest, you can perform the Breakthrough on the character bond and permanently increase its Bond Level. You have to repeat the same method as you increase the Bond Level of that character.
