How to Upgrade the Jetpack in Elex II

The jet pack Commander Jax has allows you to traverse the various regions of post-apocalyptic wasteland of Magalan fast and easily offering a greater level of exploration. The Jetpack is an important tool in Elex II and one that you should upgrade whenever possible. The basic Jetpack Commander Jax begins Elex II with is just a small booster that enables him to reach higher elevations for a limited amount of time. To unlock combat options, faster travel, and longer sustainability you need to upgrade it. This How to Upgrade the Jetpack guide will tell you everything you need to know.

In order to upgrade your Jetpack you will need Ability Points, these are earned from leveling up. You will also require at least a 25 Intelligence level to make the modifications, Elexit Crystals to pay the upgrade cost, and the Jetpack Bench which can be found in major settlements. If you are upgrading the Fuel Capacity of the Jetpack you will also need additional fuel canisters, these can be found throughout the game world.

How to Upgrade the Jetpack

Begin by following Adam's trail to Bastion during the 6th Power group of main missions (Bastion will be your base of operations). Look to the right of the staircase before you go up the stairs to talk to Adam and advance the quest. Against the wall you will see a Jetpack Bench that you can use for all your upgrades. Unlike other skills from teachers in Elex II the 25 Intelligence will never increase, and it will be enough to upgrade all 6 upgradeable parts of the Jetpack which are listed below.

Maneuvering Boosters

These allow you to move while flying, not just straight up.

Sprint Boosters

These enable you to fly faster when you switch them on.

Floating

This allows you to hover and use melee or ranged weapons.

Additional Tank

This is a one time purchase that allows you to further upgrade the Jetpack's fuel amount.

Retrorockets

These can be upgraded 4 times and will provide a quick brake before you smash the ground when out of fuel.

Fuel Capacity

These can be upgraded 50 times and only ever costs 1 Fuel per upgrade.
