Picking a lock in Elex II is not a difficult process, it is a matter of trial and error and there is no guarantee that a particular method will always work. You need to pay attention and be careful because the pick usually breaks in the event of making a mistake in the pattern. Fortunately there is no shortage of picks for you to try again.

Begin the lock picking process by finding the two side-by-side pins that stay up. In order to find these pins you need to either go left to right through the lock or right to left from the far end. If they all drop, then your pick will likely break, and you must start the pattern all over again from the two pins. Regardless of which way you choose to go through the lock you need to do so methodically learning from your mistakes so that you can be successful next time as the pattern will not change, you are free to figure it out incrementally. Harder locks in the game will have more pins requiring you have to devote more time and attention in order to unlock them.
