1. Battles

Just like Gold, looting from Battles, may it be multi-player battles or single-player battles, are the quickest and most effective way to collect a good amount of Food in the game. But in order to do this, you will have to prepare a strong and durable Army that will survive each battle.

In multi-player Battles, some players would rather go straight for the farms and and end the battle once they have acquired all loot. Not being able to destroy the Town Center or win the battle, however, will cost you a number of medals so be sure to measure what you value most—medals or loot.

When deciding to go straight for Food buildings (like farms and mills), deploy troops that do quick and strong damage on resource buildings and aim for Food buildings that are unprotected outside the walls or perhaps are far away from defending troops. Staying away from Defensive Buildings and troops are important since most troops who specialize on resource buildings usually have low hitpoints.

Defeating your opponent, in battle is ideal since getting a five-star victory rewards you with a Diamond, another precious resource in the game. When deciding to go for complete destruction, make sure to battle with someone who is at the same level as you are. But if you have a formidable Army and know that you can take on stronger enemies, then go ahead and try your luck with that since higher level opponents usually yield larger amounts of loot.

In Single-player Battles, a map is listed with a few cities which offer a fixed amount of Gold and food available for you to loot. In single-player battles, your offense will be rated depending on the amount of damage you have inflicted on the city. A city is labeled as “Conquered” if you are able to have a five-star finish. Completing all the campaigns with a five-star win rewards the players with Crowns. It is also important to note that engaging in a single-player campaign can be done even during a peace treaty, whereas engaging in a multi-player battle automatically cancels the peace treaty you have on your city. Single-player battles are often launched when players would like to practice a strategy against enemies since it is easier to find cities well-within your level and losing battles does not reduce the number of medals you have.

2. Farms

Farms are one of the most important structures you will have to put up in the game. It is also one of the first items available for you to build since Farms are essential in your city’s growth.

Farms, just like Caravans, have the ability to produce quality resources which you can collect every hour. Farms produce the Food, which is mainly used to train troops, research technologies in your Blacksmith, upgrade Army buildings like the Garrison and War Academy.

The amount of Food the Farm produces depends on the level of the Farm—the higher the level the higher the rate of production of Food so it is important to upgrade your Farms whenever you can. When upgrading your Farms it is important to take note that the time it takes to upgrade the Farm takes longer the higher the level it is.

It is also important to constantly collect Food from your Farms so that your attackers may not get much loot from your Farms.

3. Hunting Wild Animals

Animals play a huge role in the game as it provides important resources—and Food is definitely one of them. The Animals that provide Food in the game are deer, boars, and stags. Deer are the most common Food-providing animals available in the game since they only yield a small amount of Food. Meanwhile boars and Stags provide a bigger amount of Food and that’s why they appear less often.

4. Mill's Food Shipment

With the presence of Farms, it is important to have a structure that will store all the Food you collect—this is where Mills come in handy. Just like the Markets, Mills have the capacity to store Food.

The storage capacity of mills depend on the level of the Mill. In order to upgrade the Mill, you will have to spend a few Gold coins to do that. When the Mill is already filled with Food you will have to trade a few goods like Metal. If you do not have enough Goods to trade, you can spend a few Crowns to make up for the amount of goods that are lacking.

And just like the Farms and the Caravans, it is recommended to empty all your resource buildings before your Peace Treaty runs out to avoid having pesky invaders take all of them.
