Battles

Battles plays a huge role in the game as successful battles result into additional Gold and Food for your town. Successful battles also increases your medal count, which will reward you with a couple of items if you are able to make it to a league.

When you begin, the first battles you will engage in are the single-player battles available on your map. There are several maps available on varying regions (Fertile Crescent, the Nile, etc.) On the map, you may select a city you would want to attack. Clicking on the city’s icon will reveal the available Gold and Food available for looting if you succeed in conquering the city.

Once you have chosen a city to attack, you will be shown the city’s layout and areas where you may deploy your troops. On the lower screen, you will be shown all your available troops you may use in the battle and the Rally button which you may use if you would want all your troops to attack a specific building.

When engaging in battle, you will be given an allotted time to destroy everything and defeat your opponent. If you are successful in defeating your enemy and destroying all resource buildings—especially the Town Center, then you may be given a five-star victory. In doing so, all your surviving troops will also go back to your town—ready to engage in the next battle.

After your first battle, you may continue growing your tribe by building more structures and strengthening your defenses. When you would need a structure immediately, you may spend a few Crowns. These crowns are one of the game’s primary resources—aside from Gold and Food. Crowns can be collected by hunting animals, completing goals, clearing trees, or perhaps purchasing them through in-app purchases. Buildings or upgrades that will take less than five minutes can be finished immediately by clicking the “Finish” button for free.
