Notes:

  • Some weapons require both STR and DEX to wield
  • Some weapons "scale" up other stats like INT and Faith
  • The base stats also increase some of the many specific attributes at the same time.

Derived Attributes

These are the other attributes that are raised when you allocate points to your base attributes when leveling up. Take note that some of these doesn't go up every time you allocate points. Aside from Vitality which increases your HP by 30 per level up, all the other attributes increase your HP by 2 in addition to the other derived stats they increase.

Stat Re-allocation

You can reset spent stat points and redistribute them the way you want them by offering a Soul Vessel to the Fire Keepers in Things Betwixt. Soul Vessels are incredibly rare so make sure you know what stats to raise or not.

Gifts

These are personal preference only. Life Ring is a good equipment while Human Effigy, Healing Wares and Homeward Bone are things you can collect along your gameplay so avoid getting these.

Guide Image
Life Ring Slighty increases HP when equipped.
Human Effigy Used to reverse the effects of being hollowed. You can also burn this to prevent invasions temporarily.
Healing Wares Various poison recovery and healing items
Homeward Bone Use this to return to a bonfire you last rested at.
Seed of a Tree of Giants Enemies react to invaders from other worlds
Bonfire Ascetic Toss it in a bonfire to permanently raise the difficulty of an area around a bonfire. Take note that this is non-reversible and the effects will carry on with the difficulty increase in New Game+
Petrified Something Gives you a random item when you drop it at the nest near the beginning of the game.

Verdict:
Very Helpful
OK
Not Useful
