The Sculptor, unlocked at Level 5, allows you to create Statues. Statues require Power Stones to allow you to create them. Their purpose is to boost the statistics of buildings, units and other aspects of the game. You should certainly seek to produce them wherever possible and ensure your island has all the boosts you can get.
