Stone is not a resource that is given to you at the start of the game - instead, you have to reach a Level 7 HQ before you are able to build your first Quarry, which is the Building that generates Stone. It is required for high-level upgrades of buildings - basically as they become stronger they are required to be built out of stone.
Generating Stone
Stone is primarily generated with Quarries, which are opened up to you once your Headquarters reaches Level 7. Like the Sawmill and Iron Mine, you can only have one quarry, regardless of what level your Headquarters is. Below you will find all the information you need on which levels provide what amount of Stone to your empire.

Other ways to generate Stone
As well as Quarries, there are also a few other ways to ensure you have all the Stone you need to be able to upgrade your high-level buildings. First, try to liberate resource bases. If these have Quarries on, then you will receive a shipment of Stone alongside the Gold and whatever other boats visit your base on a regular basis.
Secondly, you earn Stone when you defeat an enemy who has it stored in his buildings. Once you are a high enough level, this should become a regular occurrence.
Finally, you can get Stone by digging up the few rocks that you will find around your base, for a small amount of Gold. Once these are gone, however, you will have to use other means to get your Stone.

Best way to get stone is upgrade your submarine ,try it
Best way to move forwards is to put your base out front to be destroyed, don't destroy any bases (this will increase your trophies, and you don't want this.
Once your trophies have dropped, find new opponents, and they will be easier.
Once you have a full map of easy players to kill, nice your hq back into a secured spot. Once you have enough time, destroy all the bases one after another, till you have gathered all the easy resources. Then do your upgrade without leaving the game. Sometimes you'll need some diamonds to top up the missing resources, but not many.

Boom beach is fantasic at the begining of the game. But the owners definitly need to sort how the game plays when you are further into it. Gets impossible to save anything as u get raided and if i try invaiding other islands my opponents get harder

Go to base and upgrade. Download, buy missing stone and whatever with diamonds you've accumulated.

You're supposed to attack people on the map. Tons of targets have stone. Upgrade your radar.
Yep always get bases easy higher than me both to attack and be attacked. Can't level up to bold a quarry
I can't either with all the people raiding me and I can't raid them I'm only what level 12 and their what level 17 with way better defenders. If they do it, it has to be possible?
Anyone else stuck not being able to get 6000 stone to upgrade the hq to build a quarry. How am I meant to get this first amount. I've started trying to go step by step up the vault until I can save 3000+ at a time. I think the economics might be a bit broken lol

Also stuck with no way to generate stone or defeat enemies with stone as they are too strong, much higher level...
Im level 15 and I am literally stuck. I can't get stone through destroying bases because it's giving me high level guys who I wouldn't even pass the beach. Or it gives me people that have no stone. Also I have had enough stone on two occasion but I keep getting raided and losing all of it. This feature is really stupid and needs to be fixed.
