The primary purpose of the Heavy is to draw enemy fire and soak up bullets, allowing paths for your weaker units to open up. You should send them in ahead of your other troops so that the enemy concentrate on them. They have high health to facilitate these tactics.

Tips and Tactics

As the name suggests, Heavy units are designed to have high health and absorb damage without being destroyed. Use them in front of weaker units to draw fire and act as shields to protect them. The defensive unit which Heavies do struggle again is Cannons, but Flamethrowers, Machine Guns and Sniper Towers all do not trouble them greatly.

You need to make sure you get your timing right when trying to deploy weaker units behind the Heavy. Bear in mind that some units move slower than others - you don't want the protected units to overtake the meat shield.

Finally, when using Heavies against Rocket Launchers, make sure you do not use a Flare to order them to target it. If you do, they will get too close to the Flamethrower and will be in its blind spot. Usually this is a good thing, but in this case the Rocket Launcher will be ignoring the Heavies and so will target anything else in range - probably the units that you were using the Heavies to protect.

At level 13 it says at the bottom of the troop upgrades in the armoury that there is a statue bonus. Do you need to upgrade all troops to get this statue bonus?
