Ending #3: Use the Umbilical Cords

There is hope to escape the grim fate of the Moon Presence taking you. But in order for this to happen, you should have with you three of the Umbilical Cords. And if you do, make sure to consume or “use” the three Umbilical Cords before returning to the hunter’s Dream for the endings. Once you have eaten up the Umbilical Cords, the Moon Presence will not take you and imprison you in the dream. Instead, you will now have to defeat the Moon Presence to take its place as the Great One.

The Moon Presence may slash at you from time to time. It also has this strange powers which automatically drains your HP to 1 even if it doesn’t hit you. If this happens, take the time to attack the Moon Presence and make use of the health regain system that is in the game.

Another attack that the Moon Presence performs is by creating a thick purple haze and then having tons of blood raining down on you as an attack. Be careful not to be hit by this as it will make Blood Vials unavailable for use to you in a minute. Just the same, make sure to take advantage of the openings the Moon Presence makes for you to deliver an attack—a charged attack is much preferred.

Once you have defeated the Moon Presence, a cutscene will emerge showing you taking the form of a baby Great One. You will also find the Doll taking care of you in the hunter’s Dream.
