Top 10 Playstation Games that need to be on PSOne Classics

5. Clock Tower

Horror games don't always age all that well. Since many of them rely on a certain atmosphere and ambience to cause tension and player stress, when time goes on and graphics engines get more refined older games in the genre tend to lose a bit of what made them scary in the first place, and potentially a disappointing experience for gamers looking back at some of the old classics.

But, that doesn't mean that the horror classics aren't worth delving into for the horro game fanatic. With the PlayStation Resident Evil titles on the service, and the Silent Hill titles getting an HD collection (arguments of the collection's quality notwithstanding), there's definitely an audience wanting to try out the old classics of the genre. Moreover, with Resident Evil's success back in the PlayStation days, there's actually a decent library of horror games to delve into, with plenty of cult classics for fans to get their hands on.

Clock Tower is one of those titles. Although the second game of the series, the original title was not localized, so the publishers simply went with Clock Tower for the PlayStation game. It also takes place some time after the first game in the series and relates to it, but you can still enjoy it without understanding the connections. While it may look outdated, Clock Tower offers multiple characters to play as and a bunch of different endings depending on your actions throughout the game, making it a good game to play through multiple times. The inclusion of Clock Tower won't appeal to every gamer, but those looking to enjoy the genre's past will likely find worth in this lesser known horror title.
