Top 10 Most Underrated Games
3) Shadowrun
Shadowrun is a multiplayer-only FPS released back in 2007 to little fanfare. The game was loosely based on the science fiction/fantasy table-top roleplaying game of the same name. Players could be humans, dwarves, trolls, or elves. Each race had their own advantages and disadvantages. In addition to a variety of traditional weapons such as submachine guns and rocket launchers, there was also a bunch of magic spells in the game such as the ability to teleport short distances, resurrect fallen allies, or plant a “tree of life” that healed anybody standing near it.
The game ended up getting pretty bad review scores and holds just a 66/100 aggregate score on Metacritic. Most critics didn't like it because of the fact it was multiplayer-only (though that doesn't seem to bring down today's Titanfall reviews).
Although Shadowrun ended up being picked up on the Major League Gaming Pro Circuit for competitive play, that didn't increase its popularity among the general audience of gamers. The game only sold 450,000 copies worldwide according to numbers from VGChartz.
FASA Interactive folded shortly after releasing the game. The online servers were shut down a little while later so it's now impossible to ever play this game online again – definitely a problem with multiplayer-only games.
Hello? Where's Psychonauts?
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time/Darkness and Sky are all severely underrated; One of IGN's reviewers gave a poor review of the game which demoted the initiative to play the game, however why is it a fact that so many other people who have played this game, criticized the IGN reviewer and loved the game? It's because it's so good in every aspect.
PMD explorers of sky was the 2nd best pokemon game to me dude its super cool for me atleast
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. The most underrated video game of all time, it's literally the best RPG I have ever play, for countless reasons. An underrated masterpiece.
Kay ham ahase game dounlod nahi kar sakte he.......
The SNES Shadowrun was better than the FPS Shadowrun. It was significantly closer to the tabletop game
I disliked that Adam Wake basically had a final boss about as difficult to deal with as the normal enemies. It was still a decent game, just the final boss was a real let down
Dragon's Dogma is terribly underrated. You literally can't trust the reviews, because most of them are made up. No fast travel, too hard, and nonsensical story are just some of the lies being told about it. I'll admit there are some flaws, and no multiplayer just doesn't make sense, because the foundation for it is there. However, it's still one of the best games I've played.
Unfortunately, Capcom made a jerk move by making Bitterblack Isle non - downloadable. The only way to purchase it is to buy the Dark Arisen addition, and that includes the original game. Then they advertised, "Includes the original Dragon's Dogma" on the box like it's a good thing. The game was being dished before Bitterblack Isle was announced, and this definitely didn't help. Also, Bitterblack Isle is worth buying (unless you already payed full price for the original). It adds much needed difficulty and some cool boss fights.
I heard a rumor about a sequel. I don't think it's possible, but I hope I'm wrong.
Just recently finished replaying LoD. Nostalgia plays a big aspect into this game. Looking back it was fantastic, now its somewhat painful to play. It was a product of its time and like many other games it did not age well while still others did.
LoD is a best RPG besides FF. every RPG fan will loved it
Lost Odyssey is a truly amazing game. One I've played and replayed numerous times. Has a great story with characters who are engaging and believable. The Thousand Years of Dreams gives good insight into the memories of Kaim and each story is amazingly well written.
LoD!! AMAZING Game!
Lost Odyssey is the most mature JRPG in terms of story..i think i will go back play the game again
Legend of the Dragoon was my FAVORITE game (besides Jet Moto and Twisted Metal 2) for PS1. Challenging, tons of side quests, great soundtrack, great gear, superb plot line, unforgettable boss battles. Loved it through and through. Im glad you're giving it the respect it deserves. Thank you.
Shadowrun was a great game
