Gameplay

Although having Mario run is basically the main idea of the game there are still so many things to look forward to in the game super mario Run.

As soon as you launch the game, you will immediately be provided a brief explanation of how to “move” around in the game. There may not be a lot of “moving” as in most games, but having to manipulate Mario’s jumps and floats are pretty challenging – not to mention difficult at times.

For the gameplay, there will be three basic worlds in which the player, or Mario, can traverse through: the World Tour, the Toad Rally, and the Kingdom Building.

World Tour

For the World Tour, Mario will have to go through a variety of worlds to collect all the coins and get to the castle where Bowser is holding Peach captive. This world is the first world that players will get to play first. For the World Tour, Mario will have to go through a total of six main worlds that has four levels on each world.

In this world, Mario will come face to face once again with his usual enemies: the Koopa Troopa, the Goomba, etc. In this world, player s will have to work with a time limit in order for them to get to the end of the level (as evidenced by a flagpole).

Toad Rally

In the Toad Rally, players have the chance to challenge other players online. The main goal of this mode is to be able to get the most number of coins, at the shortest time, and win the favor of all, if not most, of the Toads watching.

Winning the Toads’ favor shall depend on how you perform stunts, jumps, and if you manage to collect all the challenge coins in the game. Having more Toads will allow you more Toads to use when building the kingdom back together.

Kingdom Builder

In the Kingdom Builder, Mario is allowed to build the kingdom back up after Bowser breaking it to pieces. Through the Kingdom Builder, players may choose what type of building, or even decorative item, must go in certain locations. If you get enough points or coins, you may also unlock the playable characters like Luigi, Toad, Peach, etc. All these characters have different special abilities and skills so be sure to unlock them so you’d find out what character is best suited to match your playing style.

Some items, structures, or buildings used in the Kingdom Builder shall depend on how you performed in the Toad Rally and on how many Toads you already have back in your kingdom.
