Managing the Home Base

You can improve the condition of your Home Base by building new facilities. Simply pick the empty boxes at the Home Base tab in The Journal. Upgrades can also be done to existing facilities as long as required Materials are available. Furthermore, you can replace or remove facilities as long as you wish.

Stockpiles affect your supplies directly which improves morale. Morale needs to be kept high to avoid bad outcomes.

Once you have recruited too many characters, you may need to move to larger bases to accomodate everyone. After clearing the mission "Home Away From Home", you will gain access to look for other bases. Once you've found a new one, clear it normally like a regular outpost. Then the location would indicate "Potential Home Site". Tap Down on the D-Pad to pull up the radio menu as you would on a normal outpost. Look for the option to create a new home base. The larger the homebase, the better.

Here are some types of facilities:

* Medical Area – increases everyone's max vitality. Next upgrade is Infirmary.

* Infirmary – Needs Medical Area. Recovery rates increases.

* Sleeping Area – increases everyone's max stamina. Next upgrade is Bunkhouse.

* Basic Workshop – increases building and repair rate.

* Storage Area – Needs Basic Workshop. Increases max supplies amount.

* Real Workshop – Needs Basic Workshop. Completely repairs cars overnight.

* Dining Area – Needs Workshop. Improves community relationship.

* Cooking Area – Needs Workshop. Protects against illnesses.

* Storage Space – Needs Storage Area. Prevents food spoilage, + 10 max supplies.

* Training Area – improves physical conditions and fighting Skills.

* Library – Improves Wit. Adds Research on Fuel, Greenhouses, Chemicals, etc.
