Nero is a new character for DMC4 he is part of the order of the sword which hunts demons. Vergil is not in DMC4 but his sword Yamato is there and can be used by Dante and Nero.

Nero(neo I like neo better),is a lost son of the dark knght sparda,nethier dante or him know this,but there are some clues of what the charecters say,and neo's apperanse & attetude.1. Neo has the D.T. Abiletie like dante and virgil(who I heard was going to come back in a re-make of DMC 1)2. He has gray/white hair like dante & virgel 3.he has a cool calm,but rebellius attitude,a trait that virgle shows,dante is the mor rebellius 4. They all have the same voice(not sure about virgel thoght?) 5. Yamto can only be wileded by a deamon(devil) that shares the blood of sparda(santicus was strong enoght to ignore the pain of holding the blade),and dante says he has to keep it in the famly

Ok, you're wrong about Nero being a "lost son of Sparda". Nero is a demon, ok, let's get that straight. Every demon can devil trigger, the enemies do it in Dante Must Die mode in every game. Nero's devil bringer arm has Vergil's life force in it from the shards of Nelo Angelo that were used, that's how he can wield Yamato. And they DON'T have the same voice, Vergil's is completely different and Nero is voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, A.K.A., Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach. Dante and Nero's attitudes are similar but Vergil is reserved and cold, not rebellious. Nero just has white hair, which I think capcom did on purpose, that way the player won't feel too far off from playing with Dante.

Yah. Nero is a new character who has new tricks. Virgil isn't in this one.

Nero is a new character on DMC but you can still use Dante. And Virgil isnt anymore in this DMC.
