In chapter 7 the elevator section tat goes up ,as soon as the lights stop and elevator slows down, tripods attack at the windows but do not enter the elevator. You have to get them all to fall off not letting one escape.Best way to do this is alt fire with pulse rifle.Make sure you have lots of amo and reload alot.also make direct hits to send them falling off.Use stasis cos sometimes they come 2 at a time. You don't want one to get away! Use this method and you should get the trophy on your first try.Good luck

Might think it's hard to beat the final boss, huh? It's actually easy if you do the right things. Use a Pulse Rifle and wail away on Nicole. Don't pay any mind to the small black Necromorphs crowding around you unless you're completely surrounded. Then use a Force Gun to get them off. Never let Nicole near you either, or it's game over. Just keep firing off as many rounds as you can, as fast as you can at both Nicole, then the Marker when it's open and exposed, and you should win easily.

Always be on the lookout for glowing yellow/orange spots on your enemies. On near all the bosses, these are the spots to hit. By this point, the best weapon you could use is a Pulse Rifle, because on others you run a risk of missing. Since Pulse Rifles have so many rounds and rapid fire, it doesn't matter if you miss a round or two.

If you ever find yourself in a corner and being beat down by enemies, don't bother with the real weapons. Go crazy and swing your weapons around or stop your way to freedom. Run until you can aim properly again, then hit. If you have two or more enemies on you and you try to aim, you will die. Don't underestimate the strength of these enemies, or think that they won't chain attack you.

Well you're really not. Some of the good old rules of the original Dead Space have been thrown out the window. Rules such as, if you're at a bench or store, you can't be harmed. This is not true at all in this game. You're actually more vulnerable at a store or bench. If you use one, there is a chance that an enemy will show up and slash at you from behind, ripping you away from the store or bench. Don't use them unless you're sure the room is clear.

Do your research on this game before you buy or use things in it. There are different weapons that you may or may not like. Research them before buying or upgrading them. For example; The flamethrower might look great, but I've personally found it to be completely useless. Also with the rooms that require Power Nodes to open. Some of them have really great stuff inside, but others have useless items. Don't waste your nodes on useless rooms.
It's pretty essential to keep a Power Node on you at all times, no matter what difficulty you're on. As tempting as it may be to use them on your weapons/rig/stasis, don't do it. There are rooms scattered all through this game that require nodes to open. These rooms, there are important items that could help you on your playthrough.

Don't trust the looks of these Necromorphs. If there's one laying on the ground, put a bullet in it's back. Don't get close to those things, because they all have a nasty habit of playing opossum.
If you get close enough to one that's playing opossum, you're most likely going to get a good scare and torn to pieces. Don't fall for it. Bullet is worth less than the med pack it's going to take to heal your wounds.

May not think much of it, but the music in this game can help you quite a lot. Just listen to it while playing the game. If you're in a room and you're not sure if there are enemies in it or not, the music will tell you. If it's anything above subtle music mostly in the background, then an enemy is near you. Don't let your guard down in that room.

The Handheld Graviton Accelerator, or Force Gun as it's more commonly known by, is an excellent weapon to have in Dead Space 2. This weapon can get you out of more jams than you can imagine if upgraded correctly. Ever had a problem with getting swarmed by enemies or run into one that just won't die? This gun WILL help you.
Primary Fire - This type of fire acts like a shotgun. If you're ever swarmed by a mass of enemies, use it. It will knock them all back and give you plenty of breathing room. From there, if you wish, you may switch over to the alternate fire;
Alternate Fire - This one happens to be an excellent enemy killer. Doesn't really matter what your problem is, this one can do some massive damage. There is a short charge, but after that, your force gun will let out a long beam of energy that I've found to kill most enemies in one shot. Perfect no matter what problem you have.
A massive and destructive enemy that only shows up about 6 times in this game. It will let out a very distinctive roar before charging at you. The only weak points on it are it's shoulders and tail. Though the entire front of it's body is so heavily armored that few weapons can get through to it. Massive damage can be done from it, so it takes a bit to kill.
Best strategy would be to use stasis on it, then use either a Pulse Rifle or Ripper to tear away at it's arm joints and inevitably kill the thing. Takes a bit of time and a good amount of ammo, but there's an achievement/trophy in it if you can kill it without taking any damage.

These are the creators of the Necromorphs. They resemble headless bats that crawl along the ground in search of new bodies to infect. If one comes across a body and tries to turn it into a Necromorph, shoot the body. It will give up it's efforts once enough damage is done to the body.
The best thing to do is just shoot the arms/wings of this Necromorph so that you may kill it. Takes a bit of damage to kill, but worth it if you can prevent it from making more enemies.

One of the deadliest new enemies in this game. Reason being: They're smart. They'll hide behind objects and try to lure you into open areas where they'll bash you to pieces. If they can't lure you out, they'll take the occasional peek at you from behind their objects, wait until your guard is down, then make a mad dash at you with their arms protectively tucked behind their bodies. Their main attack is bashing you with their hard skulls.
Tactic would be to keep your back against a wall and let them charge. Use stasis on them and take out their legs. Careful, they can still crawl towards you. These have quite a bit of patience, so it could take some time to kill them all, as they travel in packs.

These are large, bloated, yellow enemies that resemble Slashers for the most part. They are bulky, and can turn deadly if shot in the main body, as they will release small swarms of flesh that latch onto you.
Shoot the very short legs on these enemies, then the arms. If you hit the main body, you'll regret it, as it'll let go of it's load of enemies that it stores in it's belly. Plasma cutter works well against this enemy.

Not the most common Necromorph in the game, but it does come up from time to time. This one looks like the top half of a human body crawling around with a scorpion like tail coming out of the back of it. It relies on speed and it's leaping ability to surprise it's victims, though it's only as strong as a Slasher. It also has an Enhanced form that's pure black.
Use a Plasma Cutter on this enemy. Sever the arms to completely kill this enemy. Adjust the cut depending on the position of the enemy; floor or walls. Note that it can survive Zero-G environments.

What resembles a twisted old lady with an explosive sack on it's left arm. It can be heard half a game away from it's screech like noises. Seeing as it has the explosive sack, it can be seen from a good distance away. It's like a walking glow in the dark Necromorph.
The best strategy for this game is to shoot it's explosive sack from a distance to completely destroy the thing. Never let it get close, because seeing as it is the suicide bomber of the game, it will kill the both of you with it's sack.

Not all that common in this game, but still enough to have a mention. These small Necromorphs are newborn babies that crawl along the ground and act as moving explosive sacks. Incredibly easy to kill, and can even chain kill each other if done properly, but lethal if let close enough to you. Kill at a distance.
Best strategy to kill these is the use of a Pulse Rifle or Force gun. One hit should kill any of them. To add to the ease of killing, they're slow and often times stumble while trying to approach you.

This is probably the only group of Necromorphs you'll want to run into. Small and child like, they come in packs of roughly 15. They can easily overwhelm you, but are normally killed in one shot. Each and every one of them contain an item, so they're basically a walking free store for you to take full advantage of.
Pulse Rifle would be your best bet with these. Just aim and shoot anywhere on their bodies to get yourself a kill. Only one bullet is needed, so as soon as you shoot, release the aim button to conserve ammo. Don't let them sneak up behind you.

Less common than the Slasher, but still seen quite a bit in Dead Space 2. This one is charactarized by it's blank expression and intestine made leg. Close or long range, this one is deadly. It has four attacks: A long range acid ball that will prevent you from running for a while if it, a medium range spew of vomit that will do a lot of damage, a melee attack with it's claws taht can kill you in two hits on the harder dificulties, and a grab attack where it tries to rip your helmet off and vomit down your throat. It also comes in an Enhanced form.
Best strategy for this one is to use long range attacks and wail away on it's legs and arms. Even with a missing head and both arms, it can still keep coming, so keep in mind how much HP it has. NEVER tempt it and let it get close to you, or else.

Undoubtedly the most common enemy in this game. It's, for the most part, a melee enemy that needs to be within a very close range to do any good. It comes in several forms: Male, Female, Monk, and Enhanced. Male is strong and has longer arms. Female is a bit weaker, but can spit projectiles at you. Monk wears a robe, and tends to dash at you whenever it has a clear line. Then there's the deadliest yet, the Enhanced Slasher. This one is black and is very strong, very fast, and very hard to kill. Beware of this one.
Typical strategy to kill one of these is to take out a leg seeing as they're the most exposed, then cut off an exposed arm when it's on the ground. However, if you're a good aim and wanting to conserve ammo, take out both of the slasher's arms. This will kill it instantly.
