My weapons suck so whats the best way to kill the Yian Kut-Ku because I always die

ANSWERS

Bring bombs and bomb him a lot. I'm tired and have nothing else to say except get a better weapon and better armor if possible. Your armor should be at LEAST Full Velociprey or the hunter/battle set. The weapon at least a Great Sword: Serpentblade. The best chance you have to kill him is probably an SnS Assassin's Dagger, built from the Hunter's Knife going up to Hunter's Dagger, eventually going to Assassin's Dagger. Leave it there until you feel like moving on to dualies or poison battle axe. Guns might work with better ammo, but you'll need plenty of zeni to upgrade to level 5 with long barrel and zoom scope. Just try your luck at every weapon type until you think you have the best one to kill it with. Lances will kill it faster than anything else.

I used shotgun(azure) the first time I killed the thing with all the ammo I could use(cluster works good)

You don't have to bomb him. (I didn't my first try!) Just have full V.prey armor and get a serpent blade. Also, don't let it be intimidating.

I used a dual wield hurricane that I upgraded from either a bone kris or the hunter knife (i can't remember) and I had major amounts of healing potions and med paks etc. And slightly weak armor.... And lots reflexes for the controls. I only died using a greatsword... Oh, and I used flash bombs too.
