I have been playing mh for a while and just figured out that they cut off the online play, and so I've been wondering what is the best bowgun? Thaks in advance.

It depends on what you want it for, Sandstorm/Shotgun Blood are excellent support style guns, giving you access to status effect shots, as well as decent damage ones. If you're more of a pure damage kinda guy, there's always Spartacus Fire.
Now, you say you played it for a while, and I'm going to assume you had played online before so if you've still got some stuff from HR13+ you can make some better ones. Grenade Launcher/Titan Launcher for example, is an excellent light bowgun with great damage ammo, but it requires Dragonite Ore/gravios carapace, which are of course 13+ items.
