Yup there are special conditions to fight certain people
Like only if you make any piece of cephalos armour, ull be able to fight khezu(or vespoid armour)
Same thing vice versa for Diablos
Good luck in killin' them
tip:to get vespoids, make a weapon which inflicts poison.it must be a upgrade from the first blade you get,"Hunters sword".it uses loprey stuff, so collect a lot of it!

To add to the weapon Maku was talking about, it is called the Deadly Poison, upgraded from the Hydra Bite. You don't have to get this poison weapon to get Vespoid materials. You can also get the Poison Battleaxe, but it is really strong(good against Raths!!!). If you want a quick Rath kill, get Battleaxe. The Deadly Poison is good for Vespoid kills. Also note that both weapons take plenty of money to upgrade, so expect to do many Kut-Ku or Cephalos runs.
The Khezu quest is only obtainable after creating any piece of Vespoid armor. After creating it, you don't have to wear it. Just talk to the Village Elder and Khezu will be on the Urgent Quest.
You can also unlock the Diablos quest by doing the same thing for Khezu except replacing the Vespoid armor piece with a Monoblos armor piece.
