Monster Hunter Questions

Okay guys. I am new to this site. Now what I am wondering is the easiest way to kill a Rath wyvern. I am purely offline and I have killed the Rathalos and Rathian once each, but died in the process. I would appreciate it if you guys told me the best weapon to use against him. Here's what I have:

<BR>1) Great Serpentblade(ATK 600+)
<BR>2) Dragon Agito (ATK 550+)
<BR>3) Long Tusk (ATK 200+)
<BR>4) Viper Bite+ (i know this isnt good against them)
<BR>5) Hydra Bite+ (not good against them either)
<BR>6) Bonespike (not good either)
<BR>7) Cyclone (ATK 200+)
<BR>8) Hero's Blade (bad sharpness)
<BR>9) Arbalest+ Lvl 5 (i'm not using guns)

<BR> Of these weapons, which would you suggest me using against them? I had my kills using the Great Serpentblade, but I can't upgrade those other weapons except for the Dragon Agito into a Golem Blade, which I don't want to do because the upgrade after that requires Monoblos and Diablos materials. If you guys have a different weapon in mind, please tell me so I can get it. The only quests I didn't finish were the secret quests, Catch A Rathalos, Slay the Rathian(swamp zone), Water Wyvern in the Desert (Plesioth), and Slay the Monoblos. Please help me. I heard of headlocking, but I don't have a strong enough weapon for it! Help me please. Thanks

Yo man id suggest Great Serpentbite anytime because of it's attack power.i defeated it by the dragon Agito.and listen Golem Blade is the path to the strongest offline blade, "Siegemund".with 850+attack power you can do anything with this weapon.
And man, do all the secret quests,cuz they give you rare items at times.
And slaying a Monoblos or a Diablos is worth for a blade like Siegemund.
Yo and the best way to kill it is to set traps(study his movements)hell lot of lg.barrel bombs, small barrel bombs,(as much as you can carry)and the most essebtial thing, flashbombs.throw it at a Rathalos, and whack it a lot on the head.
And voila! Youve killed it!(not very easy though)
Oh and take a lot of health with u.if uve still got space in ure bag, then also carry
Demondrug, power juice, and a health flute(not that essential because it can breal anytime)
