How do you do the urgent quest attack of the ratholos it would help if you could tell me what armour 2 use and wepons.

1st use a hammer or great sword. With a hammer you can't cut off the tail but you can hit a little faster than a great sword and I would recomend it ( try a bonebroad axe or finishing hammer).

With a great sword you can cut off the tail and you have longer reach. If you use a hammer aim for the head after fireballs and use a horizontal attack to stop some attacks. Roll away from tail strikes and only attack to a real opening.

You can also charge you're hammer and hit it's tail while it's landing. DON'T GO UNDER THE RATHALOS!!! If you use a great sword cut off the tail using down and up attacks then aim 4 the neck and head. Still DON'T GO UNDER THE RATHALOS!!!

For either weapon keep alot of whetstones, you need them. Any armor with about 9 defence or over will work, I suggest Kut-ku or better (ie. Gypceros).

Keep it paintballed at all times, don't try to fight blind. When it limps go to the nest once it falls asleep and kill all the velociprey then put bombs at it's head or do the super pound to it's head.

When it gets mad and you see fire on it's lips just back off and don't get hit and wait till it calms down to attack it. You might have to do this quest like 20 times but eventually you'll kill it.

to kill the ratholas if your a great sword kind of person i would use the great serpentblade.but i really recommend the poison battleaxe.
