How in the world do you beat "THE FEAR" ? ? ? I just got back from iraq, and that part of the game has me stuck beyond belief, please help a 2 time war veteran to get past this.

ANSWERS

I used the thermal goggles. If you don't have those, they're in that building you had to pass through to get to the booby-trapped forest. It's in the south of the building on the bottom floor. It's next to a locked red door.

The fear go in a pattern.so go to one of the edges and wait for the fear to go on the tree!

Look around you. Try and see the direction of where the crossbow bolts are coming from. Look at the trees too. Leaves will always fall from each tree that he jumps onto. I tend to try and not waste ammo on him and wait for him to shoot an animal or a fruit down from a tree to replenish his stamina. Through the first minutes of the battle, try running around and catching some Poison Dart Frogs. Equip them by using the backpack and throw them when The Fear is low on stamina. He'll come right for it and get food poisoning. He won't have any camo shielding him by then, so keep throwing the frogs, or just use a tranquilizer for the last few shots. This way, you'll get The Fear's stealth camo. It won't completely shield you, but it keeps your camo index pretty high. (Don't use a tranquilizer gun on the frogs though. The Fear won't go after the live frogs)

Get Your Thermal Goggles On, Either That, Or Get A Lot Of Poisoned/Rotten Food (Fish Rots Quickly) And Try And Use A Tranquiliser. Get All The Normal Food Around You As Well, That Way, He Will Only Go For The Poisoned/Rotten Food.
