Question for Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

Hello I got Metal gear solid 3 now and now I am stuck so here it is.

Right on the sorrow bit at the end of the river I get there and I died straight away how do I get pass that bit.

In other words how do I beat him ? and get

When you die at the end when it says snake is dead push L2 and use revival pill then you wake up.

To beat the sorrow, when you see his body at the end he will rush at you. You will die everytime. But dont hit continue. hold L2 and use the revival pill. There you are you have beaten the sorrow!!!

Hey, well its says "snake is dead" but in actual fact you are half dead in a river and are "on deaths door" as it were all you do is use the revival pill and you are fine, a bit wet but other wise ok.

When you get to the end of the river where he stops over his skeleton, either drown yourself or take the fake death pill then revive your self with the revival pill when the game over screen comes on.
