I am a big fan of the franchise and if you want to fully understand and enjoy the story you'd have to really buy both and (only if you have a ps3)buy the third one when you are finished with the others.If you think Im wrong buy 'em 0ne at a time.Or if you have both of them and is just askimg for some1's opinion, I'd say God of War 2

I'm a huge fan of the franchise as the member above, and I can honestly say you HAVE to buy both. The second is slightly better, but was just an "upgrade" of the first, and the differences are slim. To know the completed story you should get both. The games are quite possibly the best on PS2, and every gamer should have them.

Hi, There both great games, And a blast to play, And for the cost of them now you would be crazy not to play both,
If you like a challenge, Wait till you unlock God mode in the first,
And Titan mode in the second one, What a battle.

I think god of war 1 if you are looking for a better story line, and god of war 2 for better graphics.
