This chick needs help with God of War ll

This might sound silly to all you gaming freaks, but I'm stuck at the part where I'm flying pegasus and killing all the griffins.. The part where you spiral down and need to move the analog stick back n forth, left to right, just isnt working. Iv done this scene like a million times and can't get it right, and I'm moving the stick left to right all the time as quickly as possible but it just aint workin.. Please help, it's driving me insane!!

Hi, Your using the left (L3) stick to do this, My only suggestions would be do if faster, Try another controller maybe L3 is screwed up on that controller, and last is I told my nephew to rest his thumb on the L3 and shake the controller back and forth, He got it the first try. Hope one of theses helps,
