Question for The Sims

Ok I got the sims 2 open for business for christmas. I played it for a while, and then went back and wanted to play the sims 2. A box popped up and said "You are running the wrong version of Sims 2. Please use the Sims 2 open for business." Does that mean I can't play the normal sims 2 anymore? Please help me...

All the Sims 2 files will be saved and played alongside the Open for Business lots and such.

(for future reference this should have been in the sims 2/Sims 2 open for business section)

Just because you're playing open for business doesn't mean you have to use that content.
