MY Job

I got my job when i was at my moms and im a daredevil but now im at the second place and i cant get promoted and i have done all my tasks

Be sure your sim is happy and has the nessecary skills ( body, charisma etc.) to get promoted

There are three ways for a Sim to get promoted in their career:


  • Happiness/Mood
  • Skills
  • Family Friends


[center][b][u]HAPPINESS/MOOD[/b][/u][/center]

Your Sim's mood has to do with his/her overall MOTIVES. As is obvious, they must be taken care of, such as going to the toilet to make the BLADDER bar green, and so on. I presume every The Sims player knows that, as that is partially what the game is all about.

Over his/her portrait in the lower-left corner of the screen, are six bars (and added one to either side if overall MOOD is good). If it is green and has at least two bars to the right, check your CAREER tab (LEFT on the cross pad) and press (A). Your PERFORMANCE will show whether or not you will rise on the social ladder. Even if it is good, you won't always get promoted on the spot.

Skills can increase by performing certain tasks. LOGIC can be increases by playing chess and peeking through a telescope. COOKING can be increased by studying a cookbook on a bookshelf. MECHANICAL can be increased by studying a DIY/how-to book on a bookshelf or work on a woodworking table. CREATIVE can be increased by playing an instrument like an electric guitar, a piano, painting a picture, or sculpting on an artist's block. BODY can be increased by exercise on a treadmill or weight-lifting machine[/u]. And finally, CHARISMA can be increased by practicing talking to a mirror.

[center][b][u]FAMILY FRIENDS[/b][/u][/center]

Don't forget the family friend count. Look in the CAREER tab (LEFT on the cross pad) and check the numbers to the right of the blue face. It will be in X/Y form. If you need three family friends, but only have two, then it will show as 2/3. If it's qualified or more, it will display as 3/3.

In order for somebody to be a family friend, I believe their friendship meter must be at 50% or more. If someone becomes your romance partner, the FAMILY FRIEND count decreases, as your partner is no longer just a family friend.
