Question for The Sims

I am on the level, 'who loves ya baby?' and I am having alot of trouble buying things for the house.

I have 120,000 dollars, but it doesn't let me buy anything nice.

Sometimes it won't let me buy anything, but I can pay the bills and expand the house walls, etc. The only thing I have left to do is improve the value of the house, and I can't.

The house value is at 69,000, but I need to get to 74,000 I think.

Why is there a limit on me spending my money? Help! I have been on this level for so long!

The reason is if you go on buy mode and look at this bar on the right it will be filled up so you have to sell all bad stuff and buy good stuff
