The only cars that I'm aware of in The Sims 1 are cars you can download from various fansites.

The only acar that a sim can have in "THE SIMS" is the cars that come to them when it's time to go to work

Nope, the Sims don't have cars, just carpools.

There is no way for your sims to have cars. Though you *can* get one temporarily. Here's how...
1. Type in move_objects on
2. When your work car comes, pause the game
3. Then go to house mode, and make some walls so the car can't escape
4. Move the car into the "garage".
PS: It will be only there for two hours.
So, in short, not really.

Yes, hears what you do: when the carpool come to pick you up pause the game and go to where you type in the cheats. And enter move_objects on and the go to build mode and click on the hand and then click on the car and put it on your property and the car belongs to you. I just love the military truck I have.
