Is there something in particular I have to do before I can go to the common room and find hermoine?

Comment:(Apr 22 2008) I was asking because I need help, what stuff do I have to do before I can go to the common room and see Hermoine, the twins keep telling me I have to start there, but when I follow the footsteps to the grand staircase, there are no stairs there; and no one will talk to me.

Well if you are stuck then probably. Though if you are just asking because you want to make sure on if there is something important that you have missed, then you should just adventure around and make sure you have explored everything that you have access to or you may have missed something.
